Another one finished and off the bench
Here is my take on the Flashback kit . The kit itself has a lot of issues which need to be fix . Some I did while others I didn't ( misplaced my datafile )
20mm sheet stock was added to the under side of the fuselage to get the correct depht needed . With this added the rad also needed to have spacers in place to make it fit right . Even if one doesn't add the 20mm the rad will still not fit . The tail plane is not correct nor is the gun and gun ring for this type , proto type yes .
Most of the struts are scratched , kit ones are to short and I also sanded 2mm from the top surfaces of the wings to try and get a better trailing edge . This area on the kit is 2.5mm thick . Rib tapes are made by using thin strips of Tamyia tape fix in place with a few heavy cotes of future .
The prop is a replacement form the parts bin . The engine is also not correct for this aircraft . To many things to list here on this kit . Over all it really isn't that bad , just needs a bit of tender loving to beat her into submission !

Greetings Terri,
Decent build! I would also recommend the breather port & filter be added to the pilot's right side of the upper forward cowling deck. See the bottom left photo in this image below.

Thanks guy's
Stephen , there is a few other details which I would have like to incorporated into the build but with time not on my side and the GB dead line is very near I want this build to be simple , which as it turn out is not a simple build ..
Thanks for the suggestion though . Still got MPM kit in the stash

Hello Terri:
I think it turned out quite nice. I am not familiar with all the details of the actual a/c, but I think you did a noteworthy job on the kit.
Best
Mark

Hi Terri,
The W.29 was an impressive plane; I really enjoyed reading about it in the Osprey book Naval Aces Pt. II. Great work with the model. My comment is not one of kindness, rather admiration!

Was the worn paintwork on the port leading edge deliberate weathering, or a lucky accident? It looks really authentic.

So that means that next time you try and duplicate it, it'll come out all wrong
Isn't that always the way?
