A little more folding and cursing has brought the cockpit to this point
Unhappily, gluing in the replacement rudder bar has not brought the original out of its hiding place. Oh well, that means that it won't get its share of the glory.
Here's the engine. I may coat those intake tubes with a bit of white glue to give them a 3-dimensional effect before I paint.

With great reluctance I will have to withdraw this model from the KOTS III build, for the very good reason that when I packed up the hobby room, I packed it up and put it in a very secure place. In fact it's so secure that now that I'm unpacking, I can't find where I put it
I'm going to have to skim through the stash and find a kit I can build in the next three and a half months instead.
