Frustration about losing a friend led to some compulsive buying. The stash is now one voodoo and one skyraider stronger.

The worst of it, it doesn't bring my friend back

But what it does do is remind you of your friend every time you look at them. Keep the good memories strong and then he won't be entirely gone.

A single bad decision is all it takes...

Decided to drop into the LHS on the way back from an errand. Now the stash is up two kits (Revell Stearman and Redstone rocket) to 15. Argh.

Lucked out today, stopped into my favorite LHS (in Penang, Malaysia), and the two kits I had thought about buying were gone. The owner offered me a 30% discount on a 1/48 Hasegawa Phantom II but I just wouldn't bite. Little victories, I guess.

Mark,
Congrats on holding the line. Personally, I cave in every time I go for just supplies, there is always a separate bag with a kit or two. Now that I've reached my self imposed stash limit, I'm praying I don't need an emergency run.

Yes, I'm cornered by the renovation monster too. But right now I'm 10,000 miles away, spent 5 hours in a local hobby shop and didn't buy a single kit. Did spend most of the time working on a kit for the first generation jet campaign.
