Hello everyone,
My question is pretty simple. I've been looking for prepainted model aircrafts with a lot of pieces to assembly with no luck so far. I basically want to assemble the aircrafts but not paint them.
Do they exist somewhere or are they called something particular?
Thank you!

I have seen a few Testors kits like this, a 1/48 Apache and some toy-scale Blackhawk. From my experience the kits you are seeking are mostly aimed at a younger market and thus may not have the level of detail and number of parts you are looking for.
Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

There are many nice pre-painted models in 1/144 scale.
If you want many parts you just need to but many of them! They are not expensive and look quite nice when finished!
look for "F-toys Wing Kit".

Thank you both of you.
The F-toys look a little too easy whereas there are no airplanes in the advanced Testors.
Do you know how many pieces the F-toys come in?

you will forgive me sir,I hope, for saying - you are fooling yourself if you think number of parts = difficulty.
1/144 brings its own challanges ! come and join the dark side!

lets have a look, it so happens I have some brand new ones -
fuselage halves, cowling, wing all-one-piece, 2 x tail planes, cockpit 3 parts, canopy, propeller with socket, engine, landing gear 3 parts each side, or 1 part each side for retracted gear, antenna, 3 x bombs, three piece in-flight stand, Decal sheet - you must do that yourself, at least !
here is one I re-painted for 1942 USS Enterprise
this is a Douglass Dauntless, but Wing kit makes many nice planes, some different Me 109, Hurricane, Zero, etc, as well modern jets, and others too.

Haha, Jonathan. I actually came to think of the 'scale difficulty' after I posted. I think my biggest problem would be getting them to Denmark though.
The Japanese could be a fun challenge too

That may be true. every country has a different import rule.
It's easy and (almost) always free of surcharge, in USA to get small imports from Japan or Hong Kong.
As for the instructions, you do not really need those, it goes together naturally.

Thanks Antoni. Do you know if all the SnapTite models are prepainted or is it only the easy kits?

Hi Thomas. Out of curiosity, why do you want pre-painted?

I would like to assemble the planes but not paint them. It's a bit out of convenience because I remember from my young days how many different colors there are and then comes all the things involved with painting.
I will not be doing a lot of planes so I would have to buy 15-20 different colors but only use a little each, which is a bit stupid.

yes, creating a proper painting kit starting with nothing would be expensive. I guess my paint box is worth about $200, not counting airbrushes.
what kind of planes are you interested in ?
by pure coincidence, I read a review just today on another board of the Revell Easy Kit Concorde. 1:288 scale
the owner was very happy with it.

Yeah, I figured the paint alone would be in that range. I wouldn't mind spending that if I knew I would have all of it used but I know I wont.
WW2 planes and perhaps a few newer fighters. I would really like to find a B-17 - for some reason I have a special attraction towards. I actually have a B-17 model I bought many years ago that I've never finished, my parents must still have it somewhere
Thank you for the reference on the Concorde - it looks like something for me I just need to see if I can get them to DK.
