Yea, still working on the b-25j made a rookie mistake on the one engine didn't line up the alignment hole; that's the it goes cant get it apart so its staying that way. Next up putting the rest of the engine together and mounting on wing roots. Try to post some build photos over the weekend. Just ordered some pe for the b-17g a lot of money but well worth it.

For those wondering how to display one of these mighty Fortresses, the kit includes a wall-mount adapter that fits securely into the bomb bay. You can remove the B-17 from the bracket at any time. It makes for a very interesting display option.

I want one....Which means I'll have to get the Tamiya P-51D in 1/32 as well (for escort duties of course)....I would proudly hang this thing from the ceiling with ripped apart cotton balls painted a black/grey to simulate flak burts....

Man...my wife is gonna hate me.....

Never much cared for the ceiling hanging route. Impossible to see the top side of the aircraft(s), and every fiber of dust will find it's way to them as their final resting place.

Joel

If you want to hang it from the ceiling and still see the top just hang it in a banking pose.. I learned that back in the 1960's!!

I suppose that would help with seeing the top of the aircraft, but the dust issue is still there. I would consider wall mounting, but it would be in a sealed glass frame/case.

It'd have to be hermetically sealed Joel or dust would still find it's way inside! I've had things in display cases and they still build up a layer of dust .... certainly at a very reduced rate but....... LOL mind you I was forever taking the lid off so people could see the model up close maybe that was my down fall?

Chris, I would venture to say that it's the constant removing of the lids that lets the dust settle on your models. I rarely remove the lids or covers from my displays and even after several years there is no dust build up inside, but a ton on the outside that takes all of 30 seconds to clean.

On the subject of photo-etch,there`s a small piece supplied with the kit but it`s not mentioned in the instructions !,some of it is seat harness`s but there are four screens - what are these for - can someone tell me ?.

He forgot to mention that's 36" (yard) ruler!

The box is 26x14x7.

I've been slowed down by work (have to pay for this somehow

Coming soon, I promise.

Hi Danny

Not in the instructions? Even if it's a late addition, I'd have expected an addendum sheet.

Can you send a photo? - I've looked on the internet, but none of the reviews I've found show the etched fret. But they sound like they're possibly inserts for the air intakes...

All the best

Problem solved ! - They`re engine oil cooler screens - but i`m still no closer to knowing where they fit on the kit.
