Thanks for the link Jessica, I rarely look at the front page and that's why I missed the show report.

More work done on the Blohm & Voss, the last of the decals have been added and the final camouflage painting has been done.

Also the 1/32 scale He 162 had its I./JG 80 field applied disruptive camouflage pattern sprayed on.

The best part of scale modeling has arrived for this Blohm & Voss P.194...the weathering!

As you can see here much of the mud splatters and dirt stains have been added mostly to the undersurfaces and sides of the fuselage.

The aft end of the engine nacelle on the He 162 has been painted.

The B&V is getting real close to being finished, much of the weathering is now done.
After the flat clear coat is sprayed on the exhaust stains will be airbrushed on and some oil drips on the radial engine cowl will be done with oil paint.

The He 162 also is close to being finished.

Outstanding work, as usual from u.
Yesterday I ordered the revell 32 scale 162 myself.

Thank you Tony!

This Revell He 162 kit is very good but one area that is not so good are the decals, if possible get one of the EagleCals He 162 decal sheets, EagleCals are very well researched and are high quality decals that are easy to work with.

Les, Both paint camo schemes are very well done. Pre & post shading really adds to their overall effect. Weathering just make both look that much better. Decals look fine to me, but only you would know what they really look like up close and personal. Looking forward to seeing both of them finished.

Les,

Thanks for the heads up on the decals.
I attented a model show last october where i picked up this booklet by Kagero:
Last Hope of the Luftwaffe: Me 163, He 162, Me 262 (miniTopcolors)
In it are 4 different decal options for the He 162, printed by cartograf, so i think i am covered.

Really nice finish work on both.

The BV is looking beautiful.

Leave it to a ship building company to come up with an interesting aircraft design.
