Might be a stupid question, but what does KotS III mean?
I'm new here so... Please explain.

Robert Jan

Not a stupid question. One of the rules for this campaign was the aircraft must have flown before the end of 1934, and the Amiot 143 first flew in July 1934. It just squeaks in!

Thanks for the answer, both Jessica and Warren. I will certainly join next campaign on KotS.

Looks awesome Warren! Some of these older kits can turn out really well with some care. Shame about the decals but as you say should be easy to replace from an aftermarket sheet. Do you intend to at a later date?

Yes Sir.. in the future I will do it, but unemployment puts a dent in my modelling funds..
I will have to check through my spare decals as well. You would think that somewhere in 35 years of decals I should find SOMETHING...

Shame about the decals. It is a bit frustrating when one puts so much work into a model only to be blind-sided at the end by poor quality decals.

However, the Amiot is a very interesting aircraft , and the SMER/Heller is the only game in town.

Personally, I think I'm going to get SMER's 1/72 LEO 451.

With kits of this age ll you can do is your best - the Amiot is a very unique aircraft and should pique anyone's interest when you display it.

Congratulations, job well done.

Thanks for that Richard.

I also have the Leo in the stash and the Potez as well. The kits are so cheap they are very hard to resist. I always wanted to build them when they were Heller but I was too young to be able to afford them at the time.. That's a long time ago!!

Cheers mate
