Thought I'd drop off a few photos of my latest, the WNW Bristol F2B Fighter A7288 as flown by Canadian Ace Andrew McKeever with 11 Sqn RFC.
McKeever was the highest scoring "Bif" pilot with 31 Kills on type. This model was done for a group Build on another site but, due to "real life" time constraints, was not finished on time.

And finally a shot on her base in the cabinet, the loose wires are intentional as they had to be detached to remove the engine cowlings. A magnificently engineered Kit however I found it challenging at times, particularly getting the bottom wing on.

Hope you enjoy it,
Cheers,
Lance

That's really amazing
Can I have lots of pictures so I can put this up on the front page where it belongs?

Hope you enjoy it

I certainly do enjoy it. Absolutely wonderful work.
No worries on missing group build deadlines. Good things are always worth waiting for, and are better done without the time pressures.

Superb!

The engine comes with the kit?

Will you explain how you painted the prop?

What did you rig her with?

Now that's a superb Bristol!
I'm also impressed with the varnished wood look of the prop!

That is superb, I love it and that engine is stunning
I have one of these and as I have only built 1 WWI aircraft before (a 1/48 Eduard Fokker DVII) I would be very greatful if you have a build blogg and will let Jessie have the pics for a feature

That is simply superb work Lance – a truly beautiful rendition.

How did you find the kit? I have it in the stash, and looking at yours, I want to tackle it soon!

Thanks for sharing

Outstaning in detail these kits.
I like the early aviation because of there open structure.
I'm planning to do one myself if I only knew where to get these kits in Europe.
Your work is truly amazing. Very nice.

Thank you all for the nice comments on my "Bif", coming from Folks with the talent you all have is most rewarding.
McLeod - You are so correct on the pressures of deadlines, I thought this would take me a "month or two' to complete however the real life inputs of finally fully retiring and closing up my Business affairs had me working on and off on this build for a full year! Much better experience once I determined that enjoyment was paramount and just "went with the flow".
JPTRR - It's the Kit Engine however I added a lot of wiring and plumbing to it. The prop, briefly, was done using an enamel wood base (Humbrol #71 Satin Oak), applying a woodgrain mix of Model Master Acrylics mix, and then a thinned down coat of Tamiya Clear Orange as a varnish. She was rigged with a variety of mono fishing line, mostly Dai-Riki Velvet of .003, .004, and .005 inch thickness.
I'll be putting together a Build Log with lots of details if Jesse and Mal are OK with the info I have.
Mikael, it's a magnificent Kit however I had to work overtime to get the wing stagger correct to ensure the rigging "runs" were correct and found the lower wing attachment a real "bear"!
Pedro, inspiration is all here and on other sites. There's so many World Class Modellers doing Early Aviation topics these days that being inspired to do better and learning new techniques is a daily occurrence for this "Hacker"! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Tom Morgan (a contributer to Lance Krieg's "Modelling Master Class" articles in Windsock) a while back and his "philosophy" on the modeller's art was invaluable in my learning process.
Terri, Torchy, Stephen, Thanks for the nice comments. You folks make being a participant here a real pleasure.
Cheers,
Lance

Luciano,
It's a great Kit, probably one of WNW's finest. Go for it, it's a pleasure to build but leave yourself a little extra time!
Cheers,

Yes me too

Lucky, we should do a group build on this but I won't be starting mine too soon as I want to get a couple of WWI kits under my belt first. There will be more to talk about on this subject at this years AGM at Telford
