I guess a USAS version makes sense as the US market must be important to WNW. But there is not that much that differs between the two versions just looking at them. Same camo, same armament etc. I'm not too familiar with the smaller bits of the Salmson though, so there may be things that is different under the skin so to speak?

Anyway – I'm thrilled they have released a Salmson though – and I will be getting me one. Most likely the French version

Ok, as I am walking out the door to go to the grocery store. . .the "postmaster" (da boss) of our local office pulls up to my house and gives me a package at 11:37am. You don't have to guess. It contained two beautiful kits from Wingnut Wings.

1 @ #32035 AMC DH 9
1 @ #32959 Salmson 2-A2 "USAS"

No napping for this elf. Reviews to follow! Ho ho ho!

Well now that the Salmson A-2A USAS review has been put up for viewing, I have begun work on the DH 9. 287 parts is an impressive amount of plastic bits-n-bobs. Although the DH 9a had 295 parts. Their Gotha had 436 parts. The Rumpler early kit had 267 parts. I could go on, but suffice it to say the quality in the DH 9 still quite high. It also has the weighted tires / tyres. As such it has to be recorded as the first kit from WnW to do so. Released on 5 December 2013 the limited pre-Christmas stock sold out quickly.

We will hopefully see a restock of the DH 9 kit in mid January 2014. Nuff chit chat so for now its back to the salt mines.

Just a heads up. The DH 9 engine bearers are B 18 not D 13 as instructions note. Does not seem that any other kit reviewers caught that.
