Has there been a coop campaign? Storch, Lysander, Auster. Who doesn't love them.

Hmm, I've got an O-2. OV-1 and OV- in the stash. Would they fit in?

I was thinking; (not that my performance as a campaigner as late leaves me in good position to propose any further) but I was thinking, that spotter and reconnaissance aircraft with limited ground attack. Harassment really. But it's not fun too be too restrictive either.

Pedro, Diego, the henschel is one of the two weighing heavily on my mind. It and the Lysander are the inspiration for this idea! There's a really excellent ICM kit for the henschel, not sure what's the best Lysander.
Jon where's that Pilatus? It's perfect as well!

that's a CASI Porter delivering victuals to a forward airfield in Viet Nam, c.1966. Lots more here CASI was a private contractor of course, want to make that clear up front.

Well they were doing something that, twenty years earlier the army would have done itself. So I'd allow it.
On a side note. It shows the beginnings of the US, and other militaries subcontracting out work that should absolutely be done by soldiers proper. To the extent that "private defence contractors or whatever you choose to call them now carry guns and jolly well fired them in Af-raq. Which, if one applies the lens of reality as opposed to politics. Constitutes an alarming amount of mercenary soldiers extant in the West today...
What good are our own ideals if mercenaries do the freedom fighting? It's an alarming monetisation of warfare and deficit of nerve in my view.

Which isn't necessarily decrying the contractors themselves so much a the general state of affairs... I should have added.

OK, if the Taifun is in, then I am willing to give it a go.
But, I am going to make an admission, so hear me out. I have been a modeler (OK, more of a builder) almost all my life. I have had some very long stretches of non-activity. I am in the midst of one now. Its been almost 7 years since I have completed anything! Now, I am not a nut and bolt guy, (and I come from mostly autos!) but I try to do the best I can. I don't really care if the kit is a foot short compared to the real thing, or if the color is off a bit. So, given that, if you will have me, then I will do the best I can to actually complete one!
Happy New Year, everyone!

Personally, I don't care how you do it or what it looks like, as long as you enjoy building it, mine are far from perfect but so long as it approximate to the box I'm happy. A friend of mine in a former life pointed out that the only perfect model is the real thing. Which kit have you got?

Mine's the Heller kit. I've been wanting to stay in the 1/72 scale, but I do have one from Eduard in 1/48th. I've opened the box on the Heller, but that is about it!

That should work, mine is the Eduard 1/48 scale and I have done the same.
