I just ordered a Hobbyboss 1/48 Messerschmitt Me 262 a1a, and thanks for the welcome D.

Thanks Damien. I thought the tail dragger pics was interesting.
Bob, I think HB 262 kits are very nice. I have the U4 with the 50mm cannon. Nice touch with the metal nose wheel well, so no fiddling with weight in the nose.

Welcome aboard Geoff, thanks for joining us!
Great pics, thanks for sharing. I'd hate to try to replicate that scheme though, way too much going on there.
Cheers, D

I've been looking at the Hobby Boss kit of mine for this campaign and it looks easy enough until I get to the painting on the scheme, I hate pulling out the air brush

BUMP time folks, who else is up for joining our Schwalboramafest next year?
Posted: Saturday, December 13, 2014 - 02:35 AM UTC
Fortnightly BUMP time folks, check your stash and find that 262 that you have been putting off until the right time.
Well the right time is fast approaching!
Alternatively, check the new release announcement from Hobby Boss, maybe we can find somebody to include a "First Look/Review" build in this Campaign?
Anyway, I hope everybody has a happy and safe Christmas and New Year celebration time, and that the are pretty boxes of Styrene piled high under every tree!
Cheers, D 🎄🎁

Just so happens I have the Tamiya 262 in 1/48 kit. I guess if I'm going to jump back into building cars I may as well throw together a wingy thing.

Welcome aboard Richard and Hermon, great to have you both enlisted!
That takes us to 30, lets see some more pics of kits and aircraft over the next few months and make this a really comprehensive 262 tribute!
Cheers, D

It's good to be back Bob. I've really missed all you guys. If I can swing it, I also want to join your campaign later in the year with a Saab Draken.

I have enlisted and will be doing revell's 1/48 Me262A1a (White 8 of Major Walter Nowotny commander of Kommando Nowotny November 1944.
Having researched some found that After Major Nowotny's death during the war His Kommando was turned into JG7 not sure which Staffel. I also have a Tamiya Me262A1a but am saving that for a later time am trying to find some JG7 Decals.

I was absolutely sure I was going for a night fighter (I have the nice Hasegawa kit in my stash) but the photos further up this thread triggered my memory: I have two High Planes prototypes as well! I'll decide when we get closer, depends upon how brave I feel the day we take off !
Looking forward to this!

That should prove interesting Magnus! I find myself toying with the idea of building one of the Hobby Boss kits as they have really piqued my interest, yes yes Damian I know I talked about doing the trumpeter kit with you earlier in the thread but I "REALLY" want to build the night fighter version of this aircraft either a single or two seater and they have them for a truly great price.
