Now that the visiting kitty has gone back home I'm free to do modelling again. I've got the first coat of gloss white on but since pictures of gloss white are boring I'll wait until I've got something more exciting to show you.

Ben,
Looks like you've got quite a polishing out project ahead of you, but with enough invested time, it should end up smooth as silk.

Time has passed but the building hasn't completely ground to a halt. Here the basic paint scheme has been completed
Once that cures it'll be time for decals.

The 767 is a beauty, Jessica.
The 737; not so great.
Gloss white is on, but fairly rough. My ineptitude bothered me enough where I put it up for a-bit, especially since I was so foolish with the white twice in a row.
I'll be back at it soon enough, though. Likely after Russells Memorial.

Decals are finished, except for a few tweaks. The blue stripes didn't want to wrap around the complex curves of the wing to fuselage fairings. I may need to break out the boiling water to get them settled down.

She really looks nice, Jessica; sweet
I'll be catching up on the 737 soon, now that the only real pressure I'm facing is the wrath of my 1yr old grand-daughter who I take care of every day.

those look great, and all the better side by side. One of these years, Id love to see a whole bunch of your 1/144 airliners lined up together, airport style.
Believe me, I know how impractical that is.

Thanks for doing this you two! I learned some new stuff and I'm glad you showed us how. I may be an old dog, but I can still learn new tricks .
Really nice airliners, Jessica! Ben, can't wait to see yours finished. Neat way of displaying in flight!

There was a time, back in the '90s, when a friendly hobby shop owner let me display my finished models in the store. Eventually I filled the entire top shelf along one of the walls and I decided I'd better stop because I didn't want to cost him any sales.

Thanks, Tom
I'd like to get her done too. Can't really see it happening until the snow flies, though. I'm a little over-loaded in models started and grand children babysitting at this time. But, I will get her done; its sitting there looking at me right now.
