Hi,i would like to share my Hasegawa Bf 109 G-6,4./JG 51
Mölders, Obfw. Elias Kühlein, Romania, 1943, with you.It is not new, or in progress, it is refurbished. My finished models rest on shelves. They collect a lot of dust in their "service career" and after some time, they are in need of some TLC.The canopy was bathed in clear and the pitot and the antenna, were replaced with stretched sprue, and the eyes get some "make up" which was not too good, in the end.The kit was done out of the box with eduard seatbelts. There was some discussion about the colour of the overpainted fuselage band, i used RLM 75.Colours are Model Master enamels.
I hope you like it

Hallo Bernd,
Very impressive build, excellent painting, I very much like the attention given to details.
I assume this is the 1/32 version and not the 1/48?
What about the hakenkreuz...German law or lack of decal?
I have targeted to build this kite sometime soon using the eduard Gustav in the quarter scale. Hope it turns as good as yours
Cheers
Pedro

Hi Pedro, thank you for your nice reply. And yes i forgott
to mention, that is the 1/32 Hasegawa Gustav, beside some errors like the too blunt spinner it is one of the best kits i have assembled. And yes the lack of the swastika is the "product"of the german law at the time of this built i did not have the right ones for this Type/scale, i will add them later. But the lack of it comes handy, while this one will grace my FB side as well, for some time ; - )
Good luck with your Eduard Gustav, it is a beatiful kit and will look great, i hope to see yours soon !

bernd,
Just an exceptional build. Truly a perfect combination of camo paint scheme, dealing, and weathering added to a excellent build. I wasn't sure what scale the model was, especially when I was looking at the interior, but not matter what scale, it's done to a rather high standard. Please at the missing tail decals, as it's part of the aircraft's history.
BTW, those eyes are incredible. Well done.

Hi Joel, good morning ( for me it is 6 o clock in the morning) thank you for your nice comment. To work on older
models of my collection is like meeting old friends again.
There will be more refurbished ones in the future and i will raise some "dead" ones as well.
At some point i will complete the markings on my 1/32 birds.
Publish "political correct" kits is may too anxious, but keep
in mind i ve got a fledgeling hobby shop downstairs with a lot of german WWII stuff.
All the best
Bernd

Just came across your 109 today, Bernd. Shame on me!
Actually I didn't know, that JG 51 also had painted eyes on the bulges (just like 9./JG 3) or was it a personal marking of Kühnlein?
The kit looks great and that little TLC really paid off. Well done!

Thanks Brian, a 109 could be a relaxing side project to your impressive B-17 project.
Eagle Cals have decals for that aircraft.
