This campaign has been APPROVED!
The campaign will run from 1 October, 2015 through 31 March, 2016. Plenty of time to amass the P-38 paraphernalia you need to create your masterpiece. You can enlist
here.
Me, I just managed to get hold of markings for Jack Ilfrey's P-38F in 1/32 scale and have a Trumpeter kit with all the resin necessary for the conversion. Now I just have to wait for a year to start it (OK, 11 months.) Oh well. Looking forward to it!

Michael, you beat me to the punch to be no. 1

so I guess that I had better start looking for a 1/48 kit other than the old Monogram monster.

Well I did manage to find the Heller P-38 before I left. I guess if we got nearly a year, I've got a chance to find the DML kit...

Dear Forked Tail Devil campaign participants:
Here at AeroScale we're constantly testing the waters to see how we can make your online modeling experience even better. Due to some suggestions around campaign organization, we've decided to change things up a bit to encourage participation and completion of models. To that end, we're changing the one campaign start per month rule to two and allowing started kits into the standard (as opposed to hanger queen) campaigns.
Therefore, with the consent of your campaign leader, this campaign will now start on May 1, 2015 and run 'til October 31 , 2015. In addition, models up to 50% started will be allowed.
We hope you will agree with these changes and they will encourage you to join in and finish campaigns here on AeroScale!
Michael

Micheal, thanks for the update. I really like the inclusion of started kits of 50% finished, it will bring an extra interest to get those unfinished brought to their conclusion. I also like the staffs input with this change and the dates of START: 2015-05-01 FINISH:2015-10-31 SHOULD give us more choices with those 2 per month to allow more reason for those stashes to be worked on.

Bob, are you allowing what-if or fictional markings ? I'd like to do some P-38s in a post war National Guard scheme, though I dont think any were ever so deployed.

Rob, I love the ribbons that you have put together and not just here. I need to spend time on placing the ribbon in the campaign page (which I have done in the past) but to no avail with the last ribbon that I've tried to post up. Maybe I have lost the touch. Anyway I like these ribbons that you have put together. I don't know which I like best.

Bob,
Don't forget that the ribbon you actually post on the campaign page needs to be a .gif file and no more than 50x20.
