I prefer the one with the blue background.
Cheers Rob.

Oh, FWIW, I like the one without the blue a little bit better.
I found my Airfix / Heller P-38(E?) still looking to the DML one, it's around here somewhere...

And I am IN! I've got no less than 6 of these kits 5 x 1/48 AND one 1/72. I guess you could say I like the aircraft???? I have an idea to do two builds one the venerable Monogram 1/48 kit with three different models and either the Italeri or Academy 1/48 just as a comparison. (Two builds?? Ambitious much??) Thoughts gentlemen?

One question:
Could you say me which are the best moulds in 72 scale?, It looks like Academy, aren't they?
Well, for me the best means that is good too

, what I'm looking for is a kit with negative paneling, and that don't need more aftermarkets tan plastic to look like a P-38. I ´like to build more or less OOTB only with a Little PE to enhance the cockpit look

Hi All,
I am in on this GB as I have the 48 scale Limited Edition Eduard boxing of the Academy P38 f/g/h/ as well as the 48 scale Academy F with the conversion to do an R.A.A.F. PRU Lightning.
I'd prefer to do the R.A.A.F. variant for this GB.

Alvaro,
At least one website agrees with your assessment as far as the J is concerned.
http://www.cybermodeler.com/special/topgun_acft_p.shtml.
Here's their
review of the kit, and it looks like it has what you're looking for.

Bob,
Is the graphic a .gif file? It needs to be in order to be a ribbon.

How embarrassing, I've been talking this one up for quite a while and managed not to enlist.

Well, that problem is fixed now. Just have to find the DML lightning in my stash.
