I'm too stunned for words – will it even fit in my house?
Wonder how to make some extra cash in a hurry?

Hi Stephen
Awesome news! What with this and the new W.12, WNW are really going aquatic in a BIG way!
Mikael - time to start building that extension you always dreamed of!
It's not as big as Steffen's Concorde from Telford, but I somehow doubt that anyone will be playing the Felixtowe like a guitar...

All the best

Funny detail is the action scene depicted on the F.2a box. I may be wrong but it is the continuation of the scene from the box of the W.12...with a bitter end for the german

Good catch, Pedro. Of course that means that modellers are now compelled to get one of each, so that their story ends more happily...

About the two box covers... I know sometime in June-July 1918 there was a mix up over the North Sea. Three boats (2- F2a & 1- H-12) were involved and about 6 Germans W-12 and W-29s. A W-12 was lost, maybe two; and the H12, which may or may not have had a Felixstowe hull.
So the pictures may be bogus and not at the same time, but I like the match. I have to look at my sources for dates they do not mention colors.

By the way, speaking of a good diorama, would have a perspective frame and the Rodin 1/72 F2A and the WNW H-B W-29 or W-12. or vice versa.

Hi Keith
That's exactly what I hinted to Richard Alexander. Needless to say, he didn't let anything slip.

The wings are removeable for storage once the beast is built. Sorta makes my Roden 1/72 kit obsolete.

Now, will I be able to hide it behind my back as I maneuver it through the hallway and past my wife? Oh I think not...

This is one of those times when I just make noises until the kids say to me, "Fred, use your words!"

Maybe that will be the only purchase during 2015, but it will be a big one. Starting to throw in some extra hours on the job.

I just checked their website. They have a new Duellist kit out. They put a Felix with a W.29. It also comes with a matching price tag.
Cheers

I've been asking for W.29 re-release with every Customer Model submission past year - looks like "they" listen... I need to start asking for Peter Jackson to adopt me, though I'd settle for split custody.
Otherwise - not a bad deal... Seeing that W.29's get scalped for $250 - one gets a Felixstowe for $100 in this merry bundle...
Though speaking of Merry Bundles - I have officially overgifted myself this Holiday Season

I succumbed to the temptation – an early version will wing its way to my doorstep.
Oh well, you only live once, and you don't get out of life alive and all that...
Hope the postie have strong arms
