Hi there
Mum's had a nasty fall and is in hospital, so I may be out of touch at times. I'll get a better idea how I can work around visiting her over the next few days. In the meantime, I apologise to anyone e-mailing or PM-ing me if I don't manage to reply promptly.
All the best
Rowan

Hi Rowan. I am sure the Aeroscale staff have already made arrangements to cover your situation.
From experience: A good Son is what your Mum needs.
Make sure to look after yourself while your Mum needs you.
All the Best,
Karl.

Hi everyone
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes. Mum is a tough gal, and was surprisingly perky when I visited her today - despite having a broken neck! She's frustrated and angry at falling and injuring herself, but it was a real relief to see her awake and talking about the future.
Thanks again and all the best

Rowan, I can only repeat what has already been said here, best wishes to your mum for a speedy recovery and also don't forget to take some time out for yourself while looking after her. I'm sure the rest of your staff can look after Aeroscale without you for a short time.

I'm sad to hear this Rowan, a speedy recovery to your mum.

I really appreciate your kind thoughts. I told Mum today what Damian called her and that made her laugh.

Knowing what a "trooper" your Mum is Rowan, I'm sure she will be well soon and back home.
All the best to your Mum and look after yourself and take as much time as you need.
Andy :-)

Thanks again everyone
Mum's sadly taken a bit of a knock back as the week's gone on. Hopefully it's just the early days and we're at the low point, but a broken neck at 95 years old is a tough one even for a trooper like Mum.
All the best

Rowan,
Sorry to read of her setback, yet I am confident from how tough you say she is that she'll bounce back.
Sincerely,
Fred

Just found this thread. I hope your mom is doing better. It is a strain on all involved when someone close is injured. I hope you will take care of yourself a well as your mom.

Rowan,
Hope your mums well on the road to recovery.
I repatriation what everyone else has said.
And if she gets too bored let her into your stash of kits.
It's amazing what a build will do.
Stay well

Thank you all again
Touch wood(!), Mum did seem a bit better today, but I think it is definitely going to be a tough road to recovery for her. So, going back to my original post, please forgive me if I'm slow answering stuff - I will try to get there.
@ Chris - I wouldn't let Mum near my Stash - she'd probably say "Do you really want all these old toys?" and try to throw them out to the dustman! LOL!
All the best

I appreciate your thoughts. Sorry for the late reply - I was holding on until I hoped I could post some good news, but Mum sadly seems to be a kind of "limbo" and, to be honest, is worse than immediately after the accident.
So, everyone, please don't uncross those fingers just yet...
Thanks again and all the best
