The pilots and gunner are looking great. If the rest of the helo looks this good, it will be awesome. Great work.

The pilot came out great. Good idea on the separate helmets too.

Werner's Wings is going to release them in a very limited edition once I get ahold of the castings. They will come as a crew of three only.

Floyd
After some discussion with Floyd the kit will come with 4 figs, pilot, copilot, right door gunner and left door gunner. I will do a set of them for this build as soon as I get them from the caster. But as Floyd said it will be a very limited number of kits.

I have an original release of this kit (open but intact) I picked up at an estate sale for $15.00 a couple of months back.
Looking forward to Floyd's release of your great figures. They will go a long way in helping enhance this beast.

Wow! Amazing work, Doug!!!
This kit has needed some decent figures and a detail upgrade for decades...
Floyd, please put me on the list for a set of these figures.
Does Werner's Wing plan to release decals or any other details to upgrade the 24th scale Huey...?
I'm thinking pantographic site (as well as the other site closer to the windshield --- sorry, don't remember the name!), nose-mounted grenade launcher, internal bits (including all the missing detail on the instrument panels), M60 ammo belt, smoke grenades, maybe minigun cans/standard ammo cans, wooden boxes, canteens, etc. etc.
Keep up the awesome work, Doug!!
With Regards and Aloha,
Johnny B.
PS Gino, thanks for steering me this way!!

I use Tamiya to airbrush the grey is medium grey. For the figure painting and any brush painting I prefer a paint called Reaper. Reaper paint started as fantasy paint but it is Awsome acrylic paint. Very fine pigment and dead flat. Blends well because it stays wet longer and is nice and thin. Also it is made in Texas which is a big plus for lone star guys like me.

The pilot looks awesome. I love the helmet. One question though. Wouldn't the seat belts go over the epaulettes, not under them?

done and ready to go to caster, the four figures; pilot, copilot, right door gunner and left door gunner will be available as a limited run kit.
I love what you have done with this figure, but my eye keeps being drawn to the right elbow which looks too rounded rather than a sharp bend at the elbow.
