Thanks for the paint info Doug.

I have heard great things about Reaper paints but unfortunately they prove hard to locate here in the UK. Vallejo acrylics are readily available and these are the ones I use most.
Great work so far, looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

The pilot looks awesome. I love the helmet. One question though. Wouldn't the seat belts go over the epaulettes, not under them?
Yes you are right but that is how it was molded and I did not change that part. Did not want to reinvent it completely I guess you could just cut the epelettes off as I am not sure if they had them anyway. Bottom line at this point is the figures are cast and will be what they are and now that we can get them we can fix or change as needed

Just got the first castings of the 1/24th scale figures and besides being big (75mm) they are gorgeous. More to follow when I get enough to sell. Doug did a great job again.

Awesome work. As soon as I get more castings from the caster I'll have these for sale on the Werner's Wings website. Still not sure of the cost of the four figures but look at $70 for the set. They will NOT be sold separately.

Good news, Floyd. Any idea when the 1/35 figures will be available?

working on the guns

the yellow ones are because I had used one to make the hand held M-60's so had to cast some of the others for the side mounted ones.

although there are a lot of small things that make this rotor head not quite right for the B model Huey, the thing that most sticks out to me is the vibration damping weights so I added them

painting begins with the red ident markings and the ever-present OD, the black anti-glare panel has been added and masked over at this point.

dull coat applied and some of the assembly

I applied an oil paint wash of black and dark brown to weather it.
