Oh wow, now those are a fine looking set of legs! the closer you look, the more detail you find.
I need to stockpile some small tubing and such, but I don't even know where I would start - I never seem to have the size I need. I wish K&S sold a large variety set of some sort.
I see you've had no problems sorting out the new camera, I need a proper macro lens, but a) I'm cheap and b)I like my mistakes being blurry.

Chuck,
I only stumbled upon this thread a couple weeks ago, and felt compelled to read it all. Not only was it entertaining and inspiring, but alao some of your tips have already been helpful in my current build.
So, thank you, and many applause!

Very nice picture!

Chuck,
No need to thank me, I should be thanking you. Your modeling skills, and your how it's done has vastly increased my modest modeling skill level. And then there are the girls. Honestly, we all look forward to your posts to see who will be gracing that update.
Hope to see a update real soon.

Chuck - Thrilled to have discovered another of your fantastic efforts - I'll be watching this one like a hawk ! Also , Kapitan Andreea obviously has certain qualities that make her a prime candidate for promotion - if you will kindly have her report to my HQ so I can begin the " interview " process -
Cheers ! Richard

Again, thanks gents!
Oliver, I did find a nice pic of two fetching lasses decked out in this finery- with skirts only a wee bit longer! What big eyes you have!
Much appreciated, Joel- you up your game with every post you make! I have a build and article for TMMI to finish before I get back to this MiG, but I shall return!
I keep the good Kapitan quite busy, Richard- but maybe she'll give you a mention in her next flight report.
Cheers, all- keep on building!

Now this is what I call entertainment. Absolutely Fabulous!
After some 2 years of not being around, ok this is a coming home for the modeller.
Outstanding work Chuck!
Regards,
Robert Jan

Just digging it out. This is a wonderfull build so I'd like to ask the Author what's new on the workbench? Would be very pitty if it would be abandoned.

Delayed but not abandoned, Mecenas- cheers!
Friends, the LanceR is back on the bench at last. I've spent the last couple of days' free time updating my older posts. The captions have a more reader-friendly font, Pics are higher-res and a bit larger, typos fixed (that I could find) and phraseology improved where formerly vague. I hope to have a fresh post up soon. Cheers!

Thanks, my friends! It's great to be back and posting. My Do215 B-5 is done, dusted, and all the pics are in Marcus' editorial hands. I'll be crowing when that issue comes out! I've been working on the LanceR when I can- freelance work always pops up unexpectedly, and our 3-acre property takes a big bite out of my time during the growing season. First-world problems again, I blush to admit. I've been working at the metallic arse-end of this lawn dart- with mixed success. The good news is that I have my 1st ever spray booth on it's way! It's quite necessary as my current digs are semi-subterranean, and I'll soon be spraying a layer of Tamiya Surface Primer, in prep for the camo colors. Lots more than that too do, so wish me luck- and cheers to all!

I'm glad this was bumped up close to the top of the forums page, otherwise I would have missed it. Outstanding work. I love any MiG-21 but honestly, the Romanian LanceR is probably just a bit cooler than all the rest.
Again, awesome build.

Gabriel- what wonderful pics! I'm glad to see that there still a few flight-worthy LanceRs, and Captain Andreea loves that photo of the helmet- cheers!
