Fantastic work Chuck! I stumbled across this thread couple of days back, and it inspired me to start my own build, after recently finishing a Romanian Mig-29, Fulcrum C (9.13), in 1:48. I too have a taste for classic proplanes (mostly war-birds), but this recent build and your fantastic LanceR project opened my appetite for jets! So I ordered the Eduard MF, LCaerodesign conversion kit and the new Ural/Apa 50D truck in 48! I plan to build a Lancer A and place it in an airfield diorama.

When you have some time, can you post some more pictures/different angles with the finished model? It looks fantastic, I just can`t have enough of it! If these are already listed in some other part of the forum, please excuse my clumsiness, I`m new around here .

Last but not least, you mentioned in one of the prior updates that you were struggling with masking tape marks (masking tape adhesive leftovers) on the exhaust nozzle. It happened to me too on my Mig 29 project, I tried many things, and what worked for me was a delicate scrub with cotton swabs dipped in white spirit. I`m leaving this here as perhaps it can help others in the future.

Thanks, Russ! I've been taking some time off from my time off, and getting the 'leftovers' of the LanceR build squared away. The JOV-1A is sitting the holding area!

Glad to have inspired you to try a LanceR, Cristian! I think you'll enjoy it, and the color scheme is just too nice to pass up. I'll see if I can post a few more overall shots, but I'm itching to start my next build. Of course, now I have to get one of those Ural trucks- who makes them? I forget...

Chuck if your talking 1/48 Ural’s, Batalon Modell/HAD Model had a resin kit sometime ago. Kittyhawk has a plastic kit and HAD Model has an upgrade set for it. Kittyhawk also has a Russian weapon loading cart kit, if. nothing else you can use that as a muse to make your own pieces that would help fill up a diorama open spaces and add interest.

Hi Chuck, I got the Kittyhawk kit, you basically get 2 models in the same boxing, allowing for multiple possibilities. It also includes a tow-bar and a ladder. It is this one:

Chuk, Another amazing finish! Incredible work on this one again. I really like your use of the small wire for the streaking. Will have to try that skill myself.

i think this build is absolutely fantastic, you have a remarkable skill there to build that kit sir, well done indeed.

i am also liking the female cartoon figures which also adds an interesting light to the build, perhaps you can tell us how to do that as well.
