Here's your COVID19 update! Hope you are all well and keeping safe. I still have a couple of weeks work to finish my current freelance job- and then, well- I'll have a lot more modeling time. As Starlord might say, "Something good? Something Bad? Maybe a little of both?"

When I try looking at the individual image links I get 404 error. Perhaps Chuck's image host is down?

Thanks, Gabor and Jessie- I think I've found the problem. I host the pics on my own website, and I have used up all my disc space! I host with the Canadian firm Doteasy, and won't be able to contact them until tomorrow. Sorry to make you wait!

Thanks, Gaborka!
Here's an update- enjoy! I have enough material to do another, but I didn't want to flood the system.

Chuck, thank you for another amazing build. The detail and story are always great to follow. I am also glad to hear you are on the mend and hope you have a good and full recovery. I saw on another site that you are already prepping your next build. I look forward to following it.

Fantastic work Chuck! I stumbled across this thread couple of days back, and it inspired me to start my own build, after recently finishing a Romanian Mig-29, Fulcrum C (9.13), in 1:48. I too have a taste for classic proplanes (mostly war-birds), but this recent build and your fantastic LanceR project opened my appetite for jets! So I ordered the Eduard MF, LCaerodesign conversion kit and the new Ural/Apa 50D truck in 48! I plan to build a Lancer A and place it in an airfield diorama.

When you have some time, can you post some more pictures/different angles with the finished model? It looks fantastic, I just can`t have enough of it! If these are already listed in some other part of the forum, please excuse my clumsiness, I`m new around here .

Last but not least, you mentioned in one of the prior updates that you were struggling with masking tape marks (masking tape adhesive leftovers) on the exhaust nozzle. It happened to me too on my Mig 29 project, I tried many things, and what worked for me was a delicate scrub with cotton swabs dipped in white spirit. I`m leaving this here as perhaps it can help others in the future.

Thanks for this wonderful project

Cristian

Thanks, Russ! I've been taking some time off from my time off, and getting the 'leftovers' of the LanceR build squared away. The JOV-1A is sitting the holding area!

Glad to have inspired you to try a LanceR, Cristian! I think you'll enjoy it, and the color scheme is just too nice to pass up. I'll see if I can post a few more overall shots, but I'm itching to start my next build. Of course, now I have to get one of those Ural trucks- who makes them? I forget...

Chuck if your talking 1/48 Ural’s, Batalon Modell/HAD Model had a resin kit sometime ago. Kittyhawk has a plastic kit and HAD Model has an upgrade set for it. Kittyhawk also has a Russian weapon loading cart kit, if. nothing else you can use that as a muse to make your own pieces that would help fill up a diorama open spaces and add interest.

Almost forgot to add great looking build been following this one for a long time.

Hi Chuck, I got the Kittyhawk kit, you basically get 2 models in the same boxing, allowing for multiple possibilities. It also includes a tow-bar and a ladder. It is this one:

Chuk, Another amazing finish! Incredible work on this one again. I really like your use of the small wire for the streaking. Will have to try that skill myself.

Glad to see you finished this one, I remember when you started it and was impressed with the progress. Thought you had dropped off the face of the world.

Good luck with your recovery!

Thanks, Tank! That looks like a nice kit. The HAD stuff is super-tempting as well. I'll have to check and see if our Romanian pals are still using Urals!

Thanks for the link, Cristian!

Much appreciated, Warren. The micro-oil dots are fun- and pretty easy, too- enjoy! As for me, I'm regularly doing 3-5 mile walks, and only have two more cardiac rehab classes. My JOV-1 Mohawk is is taking off with a bit of a twist- I'll be posting that in the new forums soon.

Cheers, all- and happy November!

i think this build is absolutely fantastic, you have a remarkable skill there to build that kit sir, well done indeed.

i am also liking the female cartoon figures which also adds an interesting light to the build, perhaps you can tell us how to do that as well.

Thanks you, Magnus! I am being very careful with the pandemic madness- and walked 9 km yesterday. Please thank your wife for all the good she does for people like me!

Cheers, David! Thanks for your kind words- and if I can squeeze it in I'll try a how-to on my drawing process.
