Awesome build. This kit is on my wish list so I would be interested to know where you got the decals from? The current boxing only has markings for a German Police Puma despite still having the updated parts for a later RAF machine.

The decals come from lots of different sheets in the spares box, the ones that say royal airforce are from a 1/48 sheet from a wessex and the roundels are from a 1/32 sheet for a hunter and the danger are from a 1/48 merlin sheet, so all over the place pretty much, wish someone did a set just for this kit but dont know of any.
good luck
Doug

Me too. They look exactly the right size. I'm very tempted to go with a Dessert Storm pink Puma if I do indeed get one. Although that would mean scratch building a door mounted GPMG mounting.
Looking forward to seeing the finished result.

I saw the kit on the spru brothers special section for a great price if you don't have one yet.

Very nice. Great job on the engine/transmission details. I really like the folded blades and the blade support as well.

Beautiful model with all those details visible.
How is the blade support fixed to the tail?
Excellent job!

What a beautifully done model. I always liked the old matchbox Puma, since I have seen it with open details in the catalogue of 1988. What You have done with this kit is great. Thank You very much for sharing.

the blade support fixture is held on to the fuselage with pit pins that go into the side in special holes that are reinforced. if you look close you can see the yellow handles of the pit pins.

Doug,
I just saw your build blog. As usual, your Helo builds are in a class by themselves. The added details to the engine compartment, engine, cockpit, and interior ars just amazing. Your skill levels are up there with the best I've seen.
You've completed the build with a perfect paint camo scheme, and just the right about of weathering. Your build should do extremely well at your up coming competition.

Fantastic build Doug.
All that fine detail work is very impressive and I love the paint job. Always great to see an RAF whirly bird finished to such a high standard.
