Nice work there Jesper! Can't wait to see the finish result using that AK stuff...have it but never used...

So time is almost due for this campaign, just 5 more days to go.
I know that I won't be completing my 110 (again!!) but some of you are just about to complete your HQ projects. Let me know if a few days extension of the deadline would be helpful.

Good Boxing Day to all!
Cheers

Pedro, I am making good progress, but an extra week would be great. Is that possible? I would prefer not to rush it.

More to follow soon

I think we can manage an extension until January 15th

Now let's see if a couple of us manage to complete their Hangar Queens in time.
P.S. - Yesterday I pulled my FineMolds Hayabusa from the unfinished pile. It got stucked because of the resin cockpit, made for the Hasegawa kit, so not really a good fit for this FM kit. Still somehow I managed to do some advance so I just might get it going again... more likely for the 7th edition of this campaign 😂

Cheers

OK, the campaign has been extended until 15 January, but that's gonna be it so get cracking!

BTW, we need someone to host Hangar Queen 7! Any volunteers to follow up Pedro's great work?

Riding herd on the campaign, answering questions as they come up (or passing them along to me if you don't know the answers), generally being a cheerleader to make sure things are moving along. Shall I slot you in?

Michael, I assume you want me to do the Hot out of the moulds III for 2017? If that is the case Mike could run this one and I run the other one.

Just saying

You guys want to help me out on those, I won't say no! Need to hear an affirmative from Mike though, no volunteering someone else around here.

Mike voluntered himself - twice

Anyway, here is my final build. The Forgeworld Thunderbolt fighter. Included is also the flying base.

Glad to have it done. Comments welcome.

Jesper, awesome job mate, and I'm not just saying that because it's a Thunderbolt!

The paint job and weathering look great. What did you use to achieve the streaking effects?

Jesper,

I second Damian's opinion.

Impressive work indeed. Guess AKs panel wash was used also for the streaking effect?

Don't forget to upload a couple of photos on the campaign gallery.
Ribbons will be given soon.

Cheers,
Pedro

Hi Damian and Pedro

Thanks a lot for the comments. Much appreciated.

The streaking effect is indeed the AK panel wash. I do not think it worked differently from some of the turpentine washes I make myself. However, it is obviously easier with a finished product that comes in different shades for different aircraft panel colors.

The panel joints also got some airbrushing with Tamiya Smoke.

Looking forward to Hangar Queen 7

Cool looking bird Lap Man!

I love those skulls ☠️☠️☠️☠️. Btw is that a black drone or a piggy back small plane over it?

Congrats on a great Hangar Queen completed. Please make sure to upload a couple of photos on the gallery.

Cheers,
Pedro

Good to see a strong sci-fi presence here in HQ6.
Can we plan on seeing you guys in HQ7?
