Getting closer to finished wash on working on getting all the fragile bits on now. Then a general weathering and some final detail painting before sealing it all behind a varnish coat.

Chris has completed his build, and done a super job!
Two weeks to go in the extended time frame folks, it would be great to see a couple more builds finished and on display in the gallery. BTW we only have 3 of the 8 completed builds up in the gallery at this stage. I will get some decent photos of my build in the next couple of days, and I will PM the others to remind them as well.
Cheers, D

Thank you for the reminder Damian,
My build started almost a year ago and it stalled due to some inspiration issue,.
I found a picture where a p-47 was carrying bombs and a flat belly tank, the bombs are not with the Revell kit but where donated by a Academy B50 in the stash, i made the tank off plastic card but over time i lost it,... so i made a "new" one, this time from a pice off wood and a treated sprue
It is actually a very nice model with very well fitting of all parts, so after primer i started with a bleu paint for the camouflage but quickly i realized this was not the color
so i sprayed a layer of green and changed the gray with a bleu tint (all Tamiya paint),.. i thought it looked much better
The aluminum is easy and is an mix of Vallejo metal color and Vallejo model air hand brushed
A small Ikea wooden base with sanding paper to mimic concrete and a bit off plaster mixed with sand and “Noch” grass completed the scene
So the result of this 11 month build,..
Thanks

Very nice build Jan, well done on getting finished.
Apologies for the delay in getting my admin tidied up here, real life issues have taken more than their fair share of my time lately.
Ribbons have been awarded, many thanks to everybody who contributed here, both with builds and support.
