Hi Doug
Awesome build!!
As a relative newbie here I have one question with regards to attaching the underwing stores after painting and detailing - does the paint [on both the wings and the weapons] not hinder the glue from getting a good 'grip' on the part(s) you attach?
Regards,
Kobus

Kobus,
The few Jets I've built with stations and loads, I've 1st scratched the paint off the wings between the mounting points and also on the matting surface of the station. I usually use CCA Gel or Tamiya Orange cap which is a thick glue very sparingly to glue them in place.
I've experimented a few times with drilling matching holes and inserting a pin from either steel rod or Evergreen rod, then gluing them to the station, bomb, gas tank, etc, and then to the wing. This is now my preferred method. Done right, you don't even need glue so you can switch off loads.

good question and I also have scraped the paint away later on some builds but on this one I taped off the wings and then it was a breeze to just sand a little of the paint off the pylons and attach with liquid cement, I used Testors for these.

@Joel, Thank you for the feedback - much appreciated. I think I'll have to stick to the 'scrape & glue' method - drilling small holes into the station, stores, and wings seem to be a recipe for disaster in my hands.
@Doug, Nice photos! Thank you for sharing.

Doug,
Thanks for the last set of detail pictures. I really enjoyed the tour. I really like the last picture as it just seems that the pilot is looking right at me looking at him.
