Howdy Y'all
It's looking good Michael!
I made a little, very little progress on my build. This is turning out to be a rough kit but a fun build.
I'll be using automotive putty and primer on this big bad boy.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Nice work Don and Richard!
At the end of the weekend, here's were I am with the Salmson:
The power egg:
Say goodbye to it, that's the last anyone will see of it.
The fuselage and lower wings together:
Not as happy with the way the fuselage halves went together as I usually am with WNW kits, but it seems to have come out alright. There are something like 7 or 8 cowling pieces and thus the need for all the tape up front.
That's all for now, hopefully more fun next week, including painting!

That' an interesting build Michael, can't wait to see more.
I've some progress on my SR-71:
Automotive putty on the monster seam is completed.
I used Krylon rattle can primer and then wet sanded.
I still have some ugly areas to worry about.
I'm off on business for a couple of weeks. If I don't finish by Friday, I may not make the deadline.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Looks good Richard, looks like you are home free.
just a few weeks left in the campaign -
only one finisher so far, of about nine started kits...
including mine...
Im already thinking of adding a month to the campaign in hopes of getting some more kits built, any thoughts you guys?

Well that would certainly help my build Johnathon as I've got the major assembly done. But there is an amazing amount of filling and sanding required as the parts were rather warped and fought me every step of the build so far! pics to follow shortly .... just as soon as I've charged the camera battery!

Great job Ivan, Lapman and Richard! Real nice looking builds.
Johnathan-an extra month would help me out. I just got back from a business trip and haven't worked much on my build.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Gentlemen, please continue to work on your projects, mine is unfinished also. Please continue to post progress in this thread and add finished photos to the gallery, and I will give ribbons to anyone who finishes until August 31st.
Michael Satin, Sir, are you on board with this? Id like to see your model in the gallery too

As you have directed, so it is done. The new finish date is August 31st. As to whether I will finish, that's a whole different story. We shall see...
Carry on all!

Did we get an extension? I noticed the campaign is missing on my list. Hope we're still good to go. I plan to working on my SR-71 this weekend.
Take care,

Huh, thought I'd fixed that. Well, it should be taken care of now. New deadline is 8/31.

I have to say, that is one impressive paint job Mr. K! Great work!
I've started working on my SR-71 again.
The photo didn't come out that well. I've learned that when I make my next model with a black scheme I need to really work on the dust control
Take care,

It is nice to see that the deadline has been extended. Summer didn't gave me much modelling time and I was looking for a suitable base to attach my drone to in flying position. I need this base for final construction in flight. I finally found a suitable base, which hopefully arrives this weekend. I then can try to make the deadline.
Regardless if i make it or not, i will keep posting my progress in this topic.
