building the Trumpeter Attacker, and can't resist opening up the engine compartment and showing the engine.

That's a nice kit, but the landing gear legs are fictional. Best replace them with the
Scale Aircraft Conversions set.

its all just evergreen sheet, tube, strip, and rod stock you just go from the inside out and it slowly comes together. good pictures help. it was a lot of fun so far.

Both the engine and engine compartment detailing is just outstanding on their own. But once joined into one assembly, it takes on a life of it's own.

But isn't that a great idea for a whiff? After being superseded in the role of attack aircraft by the Wyvern, the remaining Attackers were converted to the AEW-4 standard by Westlands, and used with distinction during the Suez crisis, providing overhead radar coverage of the battle group, freeing up the Skyraiders to accompany the strike packages to provide the beginnings of true AWACS control of the airborne battle arena.

really its a fuel tank, well I did not see that coming, it sure looks more like a radar than fuel to me but those Brits do like conformal tanks don,t they. Well thanks for the correction Jess
