I completed this build back in 2014 but just realised that I did not share it here.
Kit is the HobbyBoss 1/48 A-6A Intruder built OOB except the decals which were from Fightertown Decals' A-6A/A-6E Colorfull Intruders Pt 1 sheet and Mk 82s and MERs which came from Hasegawa's Weapon Set A.
Painted with Gunze Mr Color lacquers and washed with Tamiya enamels. I left it relatively clean as the actual jet was rather new when wearing these markings. In all it was a fun build.
Feedback and queries most welcome. Enjoy the photos!
Mark

I know nothing about the Intruder, Mark, but your build looks fantastic! Top notch!

Mark,
I too built the HB 1/48 scale A6 but opted for the E variant. The kit had it's issues, but over all builds into a superb representation of the real aircraft. I also used Brian's Fightertown decals, and found them to be of excellent quality.
Your build certainly looks the part of a well maintained but operational aircraft with just the right amount of restrained weathering. As they do tend to get quite dirty aboard an aircraft carrier.
I'm most impressed with the folding wings, as I opted to go with the wings down and locked.
