Hello all, here is a piece I finished a little while back, Tamiya's Fw-190 A-8 built as a F8 in Hungarian service using a decal set from Hungarian Aero Decals.

Nice one! The Tamiya kit is great (I've build a few of them also) and hungarian insignias are not often seen on the Fw 190.

She does look great! Love the very light weathering.

Very cool! I am to build the very same bird in 1/32 from the Revell kit so yours is an inspiration.

The Very nice build, and I don't recall seeing a Hungarian scheme before! The markings look great and the overall finish really came up well.

Thanks all, glad you like it. Love foreign service markings on any vehicle or aircraft, and my mother's side of the family is all Hungarian, so getting to build a Hungarian service version of one of my favorite aircraft, is perfect. I was surprised to have some fit issues around the front cowling, but they were not too bad to resolve. Gaborka, certainly hope to see photos of that when it's done, sounds impressive.

Now that's one really rock solid build. While I've seen countless FW 190s, I don't recall ever seeing one in in Hungarian markings.

Nice build. Indeed, the markings are unusual. Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Slovakian paint schemes and markings are splendid but not always popular with the modeler. I have in my (far) plans a couple of Romanian birds.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!

Ordered one of lifecolor's sets (luftwaffe colors no.2 IIRC) for it, as I had used their paints for my Finnish StuG before and liked them. I usually use Tamiya colors as they are most easily come by in my Lhs(s), but tamiya don't have the best brush-on colors for many of the RLM colors.
Gabriel, Romania used 190's, or will you be building a different type? Love the 190, never seen one in romanian colors, bet it would look great. Big fan of foreign service colors as well, just got a 109 G-14 that I'm looking forward to doing as a Croatian bird.

Ahh I really like the lifecolour paints. That's what I'm using at the moment. I pre thinned the pots for airbrush but they brush on really nicely too. I think its rlm83 that was ommited in that set the one that's close to olive drab?

Quite possibly, don't recall off the top of my head, but I do remember having to order a single pot of something for this along side the set, it was likely that one.
