Hi,
not sure to finish before the dead line (the last 2 weeks of the year are going to be very buzy...) but at least here is the last pics of my progress (upper wings and rudders glued and putty in progress):
cheers

Hey 8 days to go and I am now off for the holidays!
Here is where I am on this build. I am doing a South African F-1 Mirage from the borders wars. I have the OLD ESCI kit which really has a crappy cockpit with what looks like a chase lounge for a seat. Also on Control surfaces are B&W decals.
SO I decided to look though the parts box and see what I could come up with. SO here is my semi-scratch interior, The Martin Baker seat is some resin one but do not know the brand since it was loose in parts box. I did use PE belts for it to spruce it up. Side and Control panel are bits and pieces and the stick is scratch.

Jeff-D - Good-looking seat!
I finished my MiG-15 bis using some old Aeromaster decals as '758,' flown in North Korean markings by Soviet pilot Captain P.S. Milaushkin of the 176th IAP. Photo are in the campaign gallery.
Putting together this kit was the most fun I have had in a long time with a model. It all went together so well (a Tamiya expectation, I suppose). I was also pleased with the Vallejo Metal Color acrylic paint. I'm not sure I would use it for something that needed to be very shiny, but for a "worn" finish, I think it turned out well.
Good luck to the rest of you as you work to beat the clock! I'll check back to see all the interesting adversaries!
-Regards-
Tom

Nice work Tom! But watch out, the Hobbycraft 1/32 Sea Fury is at your six!
Some painting hints for those wanting to add this one to their collection:
The sky background to the number is a solid match for Tamiya Sky. And the black/white stripes do not bleed through.
The stripes DO bleed through the upper wing roundel. I had to lay down two white decal circles under the roundels and they still show through very slightly.
The wing tip lights, while cut out in the model, come with gray plastic covers (why bother?). I used red and green plastic from some old toothbrush handles there.
A little concerned about how the resin gear legs from Fisher will hold up under the weight. We shall see.
I WILL get done on time!
Michael

And here we go. As promised, the 1/32 Hobbycraft (with some cockpit, landing gear, and propeller help from Fisher Models) Hawker Sea Fury of 820 Sqn. FAA, flown by Lt. Peter Carmichael. Destroyed a MiG-15 on 8 August, 1952. The Royal Navy's (and Hawker's) last piston engined fighter.
This was a fun one, I enjoyed it and like the way it turned out!

Hi Michael, With only a few days left and only 5 in gallery when you add yours, any possibility of a few weeks extension on this campaign?
Just wondering if other need time besides me....
I know, I know, But I am so close.......... Just trying to find lost part and get painting done. Just not sure I will by this Sunday.
Just wondering......

Sounds like more time is needed. Very well, a one month extension is granted. This campaign will now end on 1 February. But that's all folks, so get on it!

Nico----Great work on the T-6. Your work on the interior is really good.
Tom---The MIG-15 looks fantastic. Plus I love the mystique behind the MIGs which were flown by the Russian fighter jocks.
Michael---Fantastic job on the Sea Fury. Great to see it in 32 scale.
Jeff---Impressive work on the seat. I hope you get the Mirage completed because I would love to see it.
Frank---Beautiful camo application. Great to see a -102 in the SEA scheme.
Best wishes,
Ian

thanks a lot Ian
here is my progress with the begining of the yellow coats, 3 coats well diluted (Humbrol n°154) at the moment of the pics and you can see that it's not yet a shinny yellow but rathet a kind of....zynchromatic ....due to the light grey primer....some coats are going to follow....the little parts appart did not get primer and so they already are really yellow !
cheers

Hi,
thanks Franck.
Is your missing landing gear forwar leg to complex to be scracthbuilt ? Good luck for this problem ...
I removed the mask strips from my T-6 canopy and glued the engine....and then i saw with disppointment that a little tiny mask strip was forgotten inside the canopy ..... no choice....it'll remain in it, don't get time nor will to unglue the canopy .....
And the remaing mask strip ....(do you see it ???)
cheers
