Cheers Joel,

well, when I take my models to our club meetings I do not cover anything, but on public display like our annual IPMS Show I have to. It is illegal to use a number of signs (like the Swastika, SS runes, several unit signs) in public here in Germany (you will also notice that as soon as I publish the article on my site the pictures are censored).

Funny thing: for a short period they got totally ridiculous here .. e.g. they censored F4U boxcovers and decal sheets because of the skull of VF 17 (the Totenkopf is another ss sign on the uniform) .. well I guess Disney was not happy and sued someone (... pirates of the carribbean)...

The beer coasters are from Eduards 2014 Royal Class and I bought enough coasters from their shop to get a full set .. I have a similar Spitfire display.

all the best

So here is the 10 Pix walk around of the finished kit.

the drop tank was painted Tamiya Light blue (slightly lightened) to get a darker color as in the picture of the crate on Neils site

I am really happy with the result even though there are a few flaws in my build...

all the best

Steffen,
The final results in your 10 picture walk-around speak for themselves. Just another excellent build.

Steffen,
Your build is excellent! It inspires me to want to build a kit in this scheme.

Well done Steffen,

Another excellent result. I also like the display table as an unusual and imaginative method of displaying your craft. Well done.

Thank you very much Joel, Gaz and Kent!

Your support during the builds give me a lot of motivation!

@Kent .. I also did this for my Spitfires, so it is not a new idea...

BTW that guy is Jean-Luc Formery which has dropped pretty much from this forum (and also will not join me this year on my Telford trip ). Have a look for TedMamere in the build sections .. he is an exceptional modeler!!

Lovely build Steffen, and some very nice additional details. Congrats on another addition to the displays!

BTW, where has J-L gone?

Cheers, D

Thank you Damian!

J-L builds some stuff for Tamiya Mag France. Also he was quite active on the master194 forum ... I do not speak french so I am not sure he still does post there.

Hi Steffen

Great job. I've always found the high altitude schemes fascinating.

It's also great to see a photo of Jean-Luc. He looks well (maybe a few more grey hairs). Tell him how much we miss him when you next see him - it'd be wonderful to have him posting again.

All the best

Thank you Rowan!

I liked that all RLM76 scheme best

J-L: this is an old photograph from 2014 Telford show, he has got a little more grey over the past years and he built his model cave in his house ... very cool place. I last saw him at Nuremberg this year and will again next year at that event.

This is from last years Telford show together with Marc Toillié

all the best

Steffen
