Now, anyone got any great ideas for a ribbon?
... of course Sir!
Staying with the colours and insignias of CBI I suggest:
comments/critics? anyone else a design?

Picking up steam, 16 enlisted now!
Interesting ribbon idea Thomas, though it sort of leaves the Brits and Japanese out (but their colors are certainly there!) What does everyone else think?

Very interesting! But the yellow and blue on the RAF roundel are reversed. You could probably leave the yellow off altogether if that's easier.

What aircraft did the Chinese fly during CBI?
Posted: Wednesday, October 26, 2016 - 06:59 AM UTC
All types. Wikipedia has two lists one pre-1937 and the other 1937-1945. Just look up the China Japanese (Shino-Japanese war) war. The links to the listing are towards the bottom of the article.

What aircraft did the Chinese fly during CBI?
Chinese pilots and ground crew were incorporated into the 14th Air force as the Chinese American Composite Wing. Both American and Chinese crews flew and fought together. The Chinese were sent to America where they trained and formed up at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
The CACW consisted of one Bombardment Group and two Fighter Groups.
They flew B-25 Mitchells, P-40s, and starting in 1945 were provided with P-51 B,C,D and K Mustangs. The Mustangs were provided because of the threat that the Japanese Ki-44 Shoki posed to the aging P-40s. Ki44 had a higher service ceiling than the P-40 and could engage in hit and run tactics on Allied air assets, much like the P-40s had been doing to the Japanese Air Forces. Deployment of the P-51 to China took away any advantage the Ki-44 Shoki had held.

Mark and John thanks!
Isn't it so that in the CBI it is where the Flying Tigers are formed?

It certainly was, and the AVG is definitely fair game for this campaign.

Well Gentlemen,
I just found the old, but wonderful Monogram P-35 in 1/72 in my stash. Maybe this one can be changed into a Dutch Hawk 75 on Java? But how to get rid of those raised panel lines? Any ideas are welcome.
Oliver
Well, I have to apologize for my bad geographic knowledge .
Hence, I shall build a British Mohawk in India.

Ah, what the heck. I've been having a lot of trouble with my network at home lately so I'm launching this campaign while I'm still at work. You can find the official thread here. Please post all campaign related discussion, photos, etc. there. This current thread will now be locked.
