With deep sorrow I just was told by a swiss friend that Rolf Blattner, founder and long time president of IPMS Switzerland, has suddenly passed away on the 7. September 2016 at the age of 73.

I know Rolf for several years now and we met only a few weeks ago at the expo in Andelfingen, we were chatting and laughing and looked forward to the expo in Basel early in October. It won't be the same without him. The world has lost a great modeller and I have lost a friend.

"Golden years", that sounds wonderful for that time of life, much better than "autumn of life". I have to remember that when needed.
Yesterday I heared that Rolf didn't had to suffer. His heart just stopped beating .....
