Am doing research on the paint schemes of the aircraft send to the Soviets under the lend lease program. Would anyone have suggestions where to look or contact?

this could be a jumping point for your research. It's actually the first link when you google "lend lease aircraft to russia"
Theres no paint schemes listed but now you have the type of aircraft they used from the LL program. I can't imagine it would be hard to find Russian versions of those planes.

Osprey Aircraft of the Aces No. 74
Soviet Lend-Lease Fighter Aces of WW 2
It's my first choice. Some nice profiles in it (P-40, P-39, P-47, Spitfires, Hurricanes ....)

Torsten is right, that is the go-to book.
I don't know how many acfct Russia contracted us to build for them - none that I know of - so unlike war material ordered by UK and France, which specified colors to be used (Du Pont formulated colors to match RAF colors), the Russians got the planes and tanks in what ever color they were painted. That would have been US colors or the colors of whomever previously put in the contract.

Hello.
Here is a website that has paint schemes listed by country for aircraft. a little hard to navigate due to the ads but they have a lot of info, but like most reference sites take it all with a grain of salt.. I think its a Russian site but the URL takes u to the English speaking area..
