hi guys .today I will start this kit its from monogram .is any thing I should know about this kit? I use Tamiya paint so not sure if the od will be right? I have more q but will ask along the way. any ideas that might me would be great. thanks guys.

I am not an expert on copters but I recently built a Vietnam Cobra and researched the paint. I used FS 34087 for a faded OD. Some Hueys were glossier. Good article here:

Looking forward to your build Roy, are you making any improvements to the kit? You should be able to add plenty of detail at that scale.

The only AM I know for it is the Werner's Wings crew.



They were sculpted by our own Doug Cohen. He did an awesome build of the Monogram UH-1B here. There are lots of great tips and techniques in his build.

guys don't take any notice of last post,i had a stoke afew years back and some times it all comes out as so bear with me on this build.

I have 2 q for anyone,do I put all the common decals on my gunship or not .?this is to be a air cav ship from 1966 nam. and how do I post pics of my build? any help will be great . thanks guys .

Yes, the common decals and stenciling should be on your gunship.

For adding pics, they must first be hosted somewhere on the web either here at Armorama or at another site like PhotoBucket, Flicker, etc.

This post tells you how to put them into your threads.
