Welcome to the Official Hot out of the Molds 2017 campaign! Jesper (SGTJKJ) is your leader on this one.

This campaign is for those brand new or re-released kits that you have been waiting FOREVER for (or suddenly appeared and surprised you) and you just need to clear the bench and start on them right away. As a bonus, your build of a brand new kit gives a heads up to those who are thinking of getting it but want to know how it goes together. To that end, separate build threads in the appropriate KitMaker forum are encouraged, but you should post your start pic and a link to the build in this thread (and hopefully a link back to this thread in your build.) In addition, no ribbon unless you post finished pics in the campaign gallery.

All types of builds are welcome but I'm running the main thread here in AeroScale because that's where I can make any necessary changes.

Linus, beautiful kit. I really like that Airfix is focusing on the British niche in the market instead of making the same kits as everybody else.

I agree Jesper I think everyone can lay off the Spitfire/P47/P51/Me109/Fw190 market for a while and come up with some new stuff.

Well folks i have enlisted lets hope this kicks off. Other projects have kept me out of the campaigns for a year. It will be one of these beauties.

Great choices. I have been eyeing these myselves. Are these models of actual tanks or are they US "What if" heavy tanks?

In any case they fit the campaign great and I hope this will be the campaign to break your campaign gridlock

No they were prototypes, production was canceled when the war ended. 8 were built. I have seen 2 in Fort Knox a few years back, they are huge. Takom gives some options as if they entered production. They would have given all those paper panzers something to think about.

I had to suspend campaigning for a diorama I'm building for a local museum.

I got these two boxes delivered today by the postman. The kits are just released by games workshop. I am going to build and paint the commander for this campaign.

well the kit i plan to submit hasn't been released yet lol

when it comes out i'll be building the 1/144 scale U-Wing from the film Rogue One
