Hi all

Oh dear! That's my budget blown for the year. The combination of the new Camel and the OOP LVG C.VI... there was only ever going to be one result!

Inevitably, I'll do a review in due course - I'm still getting used my new-found freedom and the idea that I'm not a review-machine any longer! Call this one an extra special way of breaking the habit!

All the best

Rowan - You must feel very guilty about this purchase . I'm afraid the only way to clear your conscience is to gift it - I'll send you my postal address-
Ha - Enjoy ! Richard

Nice one Rowan, I don't feel so bad about my own willpower short comings (I said no more kits until the stash was reduced). I posted on 'What the postman brought...' just now.
Regards.

Hi Richard. Many thanks for your kind offer of help. I've been reading about a radical alternative therapy that some modellers have used successfully. That is to actually build the kits they buy! It sounds bizarre - and obviously, I've not really tried it - one look at my shocking Stash will confirm that - but I might give it ago...

It helps, it really does, believe me, I am an expert by experience.
However, only if building includes FINISHING and that is where I still fall short ...

but I am working on it

Hi Drabslab

Yep - Finishing is everything! These days, I'm surprisingly good at starting builds - but seeing them through to completion consistently is a discipline I must re-master! (I never suffered from this affliction before joining Aeroscale, so I guess that says something about the merits (or otherwise) of the Internet LOL! ...)

I have in 1/48 scale and in various stages of production a skyraider, a skyhawk, an MH-53, a Draken, a Demon, a MIG 29, a MIG 17, a Fouga magister, an F-14, a Blackhawk and a few other things that escape me at the moment...

Now I promised myself not to start anything else until all this is finished ...

But last week I bought the Mother Of All Kits (MOAK) in 1/48 scale so ...

However, there are also bright clouds, I finished a MIG 15 ealier this year and it was really years ago that I was able to write "finished" under any modelling project.
