Well, as we get close to winding up the ETO campaign a decision had to be made as to which WWII 75th anniversary campaign would be next. My decision: the Pacific Theater of Operations.
This campaign will cover any vehicle, ship, aircraft,or figure from the Pacific theater from 1941-45, any nationality, and will cover the Southwest Pacific as well. To give everyone a couple of months break, the campaign will run from 1 October, 2017 through 1 April, 2018. To view the rules and sign up, go
here.
F6F, here I come!

Thomas,
Thought I'd go with PTO to keep a sort of pattern going. The first campaign was CBI, then ETO, now shifting back to the east, PTO, then back west to MTO. That's my kind of wacky thinking, anyway.
Glad you're on board!

Well,
CBI, ETO, PTO? I will not break the chain, hence, I am in. I will have to search my stash for the old Hasegawa B5N.

Good call Michael! Im in, I like the time frame and have plenty to choose from. So until then I can peruse the stash, see what else is being built for the campaign and see what I come up with.

I've wanted to build Pappy Boyington's Corsair for years. Alway had a soft spot for VMF-214 when they were at MCAS El Toro

Matt,
If it's less than 25% done you can stop working on it now and wait for the campaign to start. Though I know stopping work on a 1/32 Tamiya kit is nearly impossible!

Hi Michael, I have Verlinden 120mm Navy pilot in the stash. Are figures in? The campaign page rule section has no mention of "dudes" however you mention them in first post on possible campaign. If its cool count me in......

Ov Vey, so many campaigns, so little time.
A part started PV-2 (but was it Atlantic or Pacific)
A started PBJ (but the depicted version only Flew in the Atlantic)
A started F4F, but which theater...
Both an F4U-4 & -5 but are they too late for PTO
An F6F-3N, but I've saving it for Night Fighters
A started P-39 for Guadalcanal
A pair of PBYs
A brace of SBDs
And maybe even a TBM
Nah, the only decision is what am I going to give up to be in this campaign, working or sleeping?

Hi all,
Ha! I knew that this would happen! This is the one that I really relish, and I'm looking to move at the end of November... No way to complete one for this before I go, the queue is full. Looks like I'll be setting up and giving it a go in my new place! I'm in. With what? I'll let the wife make the call.

Bought a PBJ-1H conversion set for HK Model's B-25H:

I'm not sure about the tail numbers (11) on 8-ball: what I've seen, it's 8. But 11 could be another (later) plane of same crew? Also top turret and forward facing side mounted machine gun pods could be removed. I'll probably try to build "Love Bug" without the MGs, for which I have photographic evidence.
Love Bug was lost over Ponape and was based at Eniwetok.
I was planning to build something smaller, but I need to free some space from my kit stash

Both planes flew from Philippines, so should be good for this campaign. I'll post a proper startup picture with the kit once the campaign starts.

Pasi,
That should be quite the undertaking! It certainly will fit the campaign profile, looking forward to it.

I may just finish my Corsair now and build something far more intriguing for this group build.
