Well the second try worked out a lot better.


At least now I have a decent cost of paint on it. But there's no way I getting finished in the next 2 days.

Last stage on the P-61

Unfortunately i will not be able to finish my P-70 in time... i could say as usual... The number of unfinished models is growing on me, but i guess i am not the only one... Those are the photos of the model at this point.

Well Tom, I know the feeling. I have the next couple of nights to finish my F6F, but I think it just needs an antenna rigged, the guns re-painted and a flat coat, and maybe a touch up here and there. But Monday is a Hard stop for me since I'm traveling... May end up adding my PTO entry to the Hanger queen shelf

C'mon guys, you have until next weekend. You can do it!

Thanks Bob. The F6F might have been just a little above my skill level, but I think I did OK.

Mark, that is not above your skill level looking like it does. I need to know what brand and color you used for for the scheme, I need to find that color.

I'll chalk it up to good photography skills. I got in a hurry and didn't lay down a full coat of Future before I decaled, so there's Future and water stains around all the decals. The paint is Mr Color Semi Gloss Navy blue. I almost used Humbrol 77 Matt Navy Blue. Unfortunately the Humbrol was too thick and didn't thin out OK.
