Hi,

Looking at the Eduard news for this month and I see a cartoon with what looks like a Betty.

Is Eduard going to make any Japanese planes?

Hi Richard.

It would be good to see Eduard venture into new grounds like this. If you are looking at the cartoon at the bottom of page 5, to me it looks like a Mitsubishi Ki-46 Dinah, rather than a Betty.

Cheers, D

Either of those two bombers would be very cool. Maybe we will get lucky and Eduard will make both of them in the next few years.

Yes , it would be nice to have Eduard give us some Japanese subjects and I would be delighted to see anything they might offer , hopefully in 1/48 scale- however, we already have an excellent Dinah by Tamiya. How about giving us something we don't have - a Babs perhaps or an accurate ,state of the art Oscar - Wingsy is supposedly working on a Sonia but we haven't heard much on that lately.
One can dream but I won't hold my breath- we are likely to see yet another 109 or P 51 first.

Remember that it is not unusual for Eduard using the kits from other manufacturers and supplying their own PE, resin and decals and pack it all together as a "superkit". Some that springs to my mind are the 1/48 Phantom (Academy kit), a 1/35 Sherman (possibly a Tasca kit), a Liberator (Academy kit), another Liberator for release this spring (I'm going to Moson and might very well get myself one this time based on the Hasegawa kit).

Definitely NOT a Betty.

It's either a Dinah or maybe even a Nick. Most likely the former.
