Hi mates!!!
Here comes another "Efendi-Fighter" for my long-term project "100 Years Turkish Air Force". It's a PZL P.24C from Mirage Hobby in 1/48 scale.

The PZL P.24 was a Polish single-seat-fighter in all-metal construction with closed cockpit. Powered by a 14-cylinder Gnôme Rhône engine, the P.24 reached a maximum speed of 415km / h and a ceiling of 9000m. The range was 700km.
In 1936, the Turkish government purchased at "PZL" (Panstowe Zaklady Lotnicze) in Poland 40 P.24 in the versions "A" (armed with 2x 20mm guns) and "C" (armed with 4 MG) and the license to build 20 other P.24. The fighters from Poland arrived between autumn 1936 and spring 1937 for delivery. The licensing aircrafts were built at "Kayseri Tayyare Fabrikasi" in Kayseri. The first in Turkey built P.24 flew on May 29, 1937. The Turkish Air Force used a total of 62 P.24 in four squadrons until 1942. From 1940 to 1943 also some machines were used as trainers.
The last exemplares of the P.24 were withdrawn from use in 1945.

My model represents a PZL P.24C built in Poland in September 1936.

This short run kit had a pretty good fit. The assembly did not cause much problems. Only the resin parts had a rather inferior quality.
Painted with Revell colors (Aqua Colors). Weathering by washing with diluted oil paint.

Cheers
Stefan

Stefan,
Now that's one impressive build, especially when one considers that it's a limited run kit. The NMF really looks good with your weathering.

Really nice little bird, Stefan! I like it though it's a bit too dirty for my taste, but that's subjective. Well, you know me ....
I'm also working on a PZL but 37 not 24. And it will come in Polish colours when ready. It needs a bit more TLC than Tamigawa kits but it goes together better than I thought. If you like have a look in the Bombers 2 Campaign.

See you soon in Mannheim

Very nice bird Stefan! I also made such a Mirage bird some time ago and finished it as a Royal Hellenic Airforce one. It was one of my rare journeys into aircraft modelling
