Special Hobby have re-released their 1:32 kit of the Fokker D.II with decals for a pair of strikingly painted aircraft flown by Lt. Fritz Grunzweig. Maybe they don''t quite sport the classic "shark mouth", but they''re within a proverbial hair''s breadth and must be among the earliest examples of this iconic motif.

I have the earlier boxing of this kit with the Black and White tail. I share your assessment of the kit here.
Having built a couple of Special Hobby biplanes before (Nieuport 11 and 16) I can affirm they build into nice models, but you need to be aware of potential pitfalls through the process.
