Hi all - I haven't built anything or posted for a long while ( 2years ?) - been busy with my motorcycle hobby .
The mojo is returning a bit so I pulled these two out of the stash and built them together as they use the same colors which I already had.
These are really excellent kits in every way - the only mildly negative aspect is the decals are a little on the thick side . Fit is world class , details sharp and fine , trailing edges REALLY thin . The Ohka has the best injection canopy I have ever seen - a real joy to build and just the thing to get back in the groove.
hope everyone will enjoy the pics.
Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka
Mitsubishi C5M2 Babs
Both kits were built OOB - Eduard IJN steel seat belts added - primed in Stynylrez grey , pre shaded with Stynylrez black , color modulated with two
shades Vallejo IJN Medium Grey , panel line wash in thin oils . Dullcoat over all.
Thanks for looking - Richard

Welcome back Richard, and back with a vengeance! Beautiful builds there, lovely clean work. Great to hear that these kits built up with no issues as well.

Great job Richard! Nice builds, thanks for letting us know how these kits build up. I like how you used modulation, the bases look great, love these builds.
Take care,

Yes, really nice builds, Richard. Well done! I also like the C5M, it's rare seen as a model.
Have fun!

Great work. Subtle weathering, very nice framing on the canopy, lots of small details. And not something that we see every day.

Richard,
Those are indeed beautiful builds, and beautifully displayed too! That Okha is almost enough to tempt me to try out 1/48 scale!

Jacob - Thanks for the compliments!
Tim - Thanks for the interest. As I said before, these current generation FineMolds kits are really nice . I’m sure you would find them enjoyable but selfishly I don’t want you to be lured away from the Hatsuzuki build - I am enjoying that too much !
Cheers- Richard
