Tim! I've never had much luck with pre-shading but inspired by you I'll probably try it on my current Wildcat-builds.
I think the trick with pre-shading is having the over colour thinned down quite a bit. It might take several passes with the airbrush over a couple of days, but its worth it.

And I'll HAVE TO get myself a Dornier
Definitely I'm really impressed with it. I have a couple of night fighters and the Finnish bomber versions from ICM. Wish I had done a duel build also. The night fighter would have looked interesting alongside.

I followed your build more or less silently, Tim. Very nice work on that Do!
I have the ICM Do-17 Z-2 here in 1/48, and it will get the Ilmavoimat decals I brought home from Finland last summer. Just don't know when I can start the build ....

Great build Tim, neat paint job and I really like the level of weathering!
Something that always bothered me about this aircraft variant, it looks like the brakes failed and it nudged into the hangar wall and pushed the nose in. It just looks too flat!
Looking forward to your next build mate.
Cheers, D

I know what you mean Damian. I think the aircraft looked its best as it was intended as a fast mail carrier or later as a night fighter
