Nice job, what scale is it,1:48? It looks as though the engine needs some urgent maintenance

Hi Antonio

Beautiful job! I think it's an F-8 (not A-8). Apart from the Winter camo. over-spray, I really like the way you've highlighted some panels on the underside to show replacements or batch production variations.

All the best

Rowan

Thanks Mal!
First I painted the model with the normal camouflage, dark grey and dark green. After this, I mixed withe with a little bit of light grey for the winter camouflage.Apply a gloss coat and made the washes with oils(raw umber). The final step is to use a little bit of pastel for stains and dust.I made some pre shading on the underside too.Hope it helps!

Very nice, but I think that your exhaust stain stops a bit too abruptly. Try fading it nicely instead.

Other than that, very nice Würger!

Thanks, Antonio, actually did my Hs 129 in a similar fashion, just weathered the white wash a bit more. Great minds think alike, hey :-)

Hi...all I'm getting is little red X's.

However, if it helps....I've included a pic of a model I made many years ago, before the my days of Armorama. Things have got better since joining.

I include it as a sample of potential...
The winter white, if crude at the time, was done with white poster paint with a little liquid dish soap in the water and applied by brush over a flat varnish coat. Once done a final matt varnish coat was sprayed to seal.

At the time I was pleased with the result. And now I would still use this technique with a little more knowledge and practice. It mimics the way real winter white was applied in the field.
It could be sprayed all over the upper surfaces and dabbed off in places with tissue or Cotton buds.
The beauty of it is that if you make a mess it can be cleaned off very easily being water based And different strength washes will work too.

Hope it helps.
Cheers
Peter
