Hi there,
I'm building a Monogram MiG 15bis NVA, and I need an information:
Please, does someone knows which are the colors of the uniforms of the pilot of that plane?
The instruction sheet don't mention anything about that.
Thanx

Ramão the colours of nva flight equipment are basiclly russian ones too .although north vietnamese flight equipment was supplied by china for the most part,.
tamiyas instructions have you paint the helmet brown but should in fact be black! with bare metal fittings.
gloves brown, boots black ,
oxy mask should be green like this one but just ignore the helmet its much later than a MIG 15 this mask is a chinese supplied one in fact they still use it today ! the flight suit is brown more on the tan side though ,if hes wearing a jacket it should also be tan or black you have a choice! good luck with the model! K

Here’s a photo of a ‘Red’ Chinese pilot, and his plane, that defected to Taiwan.
Hope this helps

I forgot to say before, I'm building that MiG 15 in Soviet mrkgs, so the pilot will wear a correspondent flying suit. I was searching on the net, but all I got was a new doubt: was the MiG-15 Monogram version used in Korea? Is it enough to put on it with red stars and a MiG 15 of that war will be?
OMG! In the beginning I just glued together the parts, after, any paint over and the own decal solved. Now...

Ok, here's my 2 cents.
I can not provide any sources, just what I recall.
I recall USAF Museum has a MiG-15 pilot's suit from a defector. It was dark. I recall reading that it was black leather. Not much to it.
I'll look around to see what I find.

This year's May/June (I think...has an F-86 and F-15 on cover) issue of Smithsonian Air & Space has a story about a Polish MiG-15 pilot who defected in 1953. His flight suit is on display at the new Uvare-Hazy Museum near Dulles Airport near Washington, DC.
It is black leather jacket and pants 'like a motorcyclist's outfit', void of any markings.
I knew I'd seen one, I was there in Sept.!
