Another Wyvern? with the two coming from Trumpeter this year that'll make 3 in total. Some comparison reviews are definitely going to be on the cards....Jim

Hi Jim

Isn't it just typical! No injection-moulded Wyvern available in this scale - and then 2 manufacturers bring them out in the same year!

You're right - comparison reviews are inevitable... I think we can expect a similar showdown to that which accompanied the Classic Airframes and Trumpeter SM.79s. It could be fun!

All the best

Kenaz reports there is no control stick - well, actually there is, or, at least , should be, as the control stick is integrally molded into the cockpit bucket. My example does have a control stick molded into the tub - evidently, his example broke at some point. I thought the molded-in control stick to be an odd way to cast the bucket - apparently it is also a weak point of the kit.

Despite this odd little aspect the Classic Airframes Wyvern is still a terrific kit.

Hi Kenaz

I thought it was a fine review - plenty of detail in all the right places to let potential buyers know what to expect. Proof of the pudding is that I want to go and get one of these beasts!

I'm really looking forward to seeing your finished model.

All the best

Kenaz, this IMHO is exactly the kind of review the site needs. Informative, well-written and complete. ...Jim

K,
No worries mate a very good review. Like Rowan I might get one of these, based on your review, even though it is out of my normal sphere of modelling.
This is one of the reasons that good quality reviews are essential. Modellers do actually buy models based on reviews.
Nice one
