The F-15E was released under the Revellogram label first. Then came the PM kit about a year later with new weapons added and a new decal sheet.

First, DangerAtom welcome to armorama. Looks like you have a lot to offer, great to have you here.

So is the Monogram Pro Modeler F-15e kit the same kit as the Revel F-15E that is the best 1/48 version of the aircraft? If so, do the new weapons make the kit better than the Revell kit? The F-15E might make the final cut on my Christmas list so I would really like to know. Thanks for the grea info.

Yes Andrew, it's the same kit. The weapons in the PM kit and the decal sheet being the only difference. Weather the weapons are good enough to make it a better kit, I don't know because I bought the first version. And to me it was a better choice because I prefered the Seymore-Johnson markings in the origional issue, since I was based with them in Saudi Arabia. And weapons were no problem with all the Hasegawa weapon sets I have.

When you say Saudi Arabia I assume you mean Desert Storm? If the original covers that time period/conglict what does the PM kit cover with it's decals?

Yes Andrew, Desert Storm. The decal sheet in the Pro Modeler version, I'm not too sure about. I know it has the markings for the Lakenheath Tiger Meet F-15E. What the other markings would be in this kit, I don't know. Or even if it has a second option of markings. The Lakenheath TM version is the only one I've seen built up.

Hey there DA - good to see a familiar face over here!

Anyway, I think the Lakenheath TigerMeet birds are the only ones on the decal sheet. I had planned on doing mine in these markings (I've already done three Seymour Johnson birds in various scales), but now that I've finally snagged a Twobobs Enduring Freedom sheet, I'll be doing mine as a Mountain Home bird with NYPD nose art.
