Dudes,
Been quite long since I posted here.
I just finished a Corsair for a very good friend of mine, since he does not like weathering at all. So I had to make it very very clean and shiny. Here is some pic.
I know it's not accurate in the marking, the big arrow thingy is just too cool.

Nice and clean build.
Maybe some little comment.
Isn't your bird too blue? Please correct me if i'm wrong.
Everybody seems to love those Corsairs!

I'm going to say its the lighting. It looks right. It is good to see a good clean bird, they all were at some point.

Nice corsair Dave. Missed seeing your stuff on the Big A. As for the weathering...hmmm, maybe this is his new personal aircraft just taken out of stores and his kill marking were obtained in his old bird that was cut up for spare parts after one too many beatings?? Do you know off hand which carrier had those big arrow markings?

Nice little Corsair,
Answer about the markings. The Arrow was for aircraft assigned to the Carrier USS Bunker Hill.
The other markings on the plane are accurate. It's a F4U -1D of VMF 212, MAG 12, Phillipine Islands, 1944 flow by Capt. Paul C. DeLong
Aeromasters decal sheet 48-070 has this plane.
Sincerely,
Brian
