Hey! That's not fair!

I was writting the "Luftwaffe Baracke" review while you guys had fun with the Saab J21! Doh!

I remember building a 1/72 kit of this plane in my youth! I think it was from Heller!

Well, let's see who's turbocharger it is on the picture!

Hi PolarBear

No, it's not a P-38...

Nice one Jean-Luc, I spotted your review in the Support Centre - I'll get to work on it tomorrow. Thanks for submitting.

All the best

Hi- another under-informed guess from me then...
Is it perhaps the supercharger of a B17?

Hi MC

It does look like rather a B-17's turbosupercharger, but that's not it.

Time for the first zoom-out:

Hi Rowan!

I don't know the plane in the foreground but the undercarriage of the plane behind could belong to a Tsurugi! Are the planes Japanese?

Hi Jean-Luc

I think we'll have to rename you Eagle Eyes! Yes, that is a Ki-115 in the background.

Oh - and we've reached the fabled Page 25!

Hi Rowan!

The one in the front is a Ki-87!

Hi Jean-Luc

Spot on as usual!

For those who aren't familiar with the Nakajima Ki-87 high-altitude interceptor prototype, here it is in all its glory:

Right, I must head off to work... a late start today (that probably means a late finish tonight...). Your turn with a question.

All the best

Hi all!

Identify this plane!

Well, the plane inside the submarine of course!

Let's start the wild guessing...

How about a Aichi M6A1 Seiran carried on a Japanese submarine (i-400?)

No!?

Having looked closer at the sub, I'm gonna guess that it's a Brittish Peto.

It looks like the sub is the M-2

Hello Polarbear!

I really didn't thought someone could find anything out of this picture! So far so good, you have the Submarine identified! But what about the plane! This is an aircraft jeopardy after all!

Oooops! Sorry Polarbear!

I didn't read your post carefully! Your answer was PERFECT!
Pardon! Excuse moi! Désolé...

Hi all

I think we're about to cross onto Page 26, so now's a good opportunity to lock the original thread and start afresh. Polarbear - could you post your question in the new thread, please.

I think we've set a record for the number of replies but, a long thread like this is a bit hard to navigate, so I'll keep future ones a bit shorter.

Many thanks and all the best

Rowan
